It's Been A Long Time
"It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you
Without a strong rhyme to step to
Think of how many weak shows you slept through
Time's up, I'm sorry I kept you"
What's a girl to do? After 10 years in the natural hair game, there's a part inside of me yearning to share and care about hair. But where?
This blog will center around sharing experiences from my various journies as a transitioner, braidlocker, loose-natural and and now a Sisterlocked (TM). The goal is to share information that will help you along your own journey. I've learned a lot, and when we learn, we should share because when we share, we grow.
I have been wanting to re-enter the blog world - my way; beyond the limitations of blogger and the uncertainty of access to my content with threats of blogger vaporizing into the ether at any moment.
When it comes to Hair:
From time to time, there may be posts about loose natural hair; but, our preference is locks. There's enough out there to perplex the best of us on the care of loose natural hair, and there's enough products on the shelf now to cause endless confusion for days and weeks to come. We will usually stay in the lock lane, where it's quiet and not so stressed out with the noise of the latest and greatest products, LOC techniques, pineapple methods and the such.
A lock journey is usually a very unique, sanctified journey. Because of the solace and personal acceptance that is required to have a successful lock journey, our hope is that The Knotty Truth can meet you where you need to be found; providing a bridge to help you cross over into a wonderful journey free of the stress of products, maintenance(maybe) and detangling drama.
